I had very bad experience with Britannia Industries in 2012 and the company, being a MultiNational Company, kept silent and sat over the issue and did not bother to admit their mistake and send the Action Taken Report to this author. Since 2012 I am not purchasing any Britannia Product from the market and often engage myself in bad publicity about this high handed multinational company.
Today I saw the packets of Britannia Bourbon (See Image on right) being sold in the market. As I had been the fan of these Britannia Bourbon biscuits prior to 2012, when I imposed self restriction for not buying any Britannia products, I could not stop buyin six packets costing Rs.156/- at the rate of Rs.26/- per pack as every pack has 12 digit coupon code inside the packet from PayTm to allow 100% Cash Back in PayTm wallet.
To GET Rs.26/- PAYTM CASH FREE, The packet had instructions reading as under:
- Log in to https://paytm.com/britanniabourbon
- Enter the 12 digit code and proceed
- Log in to your PayTm account
I tried the above procedure for about 3-4 hours, just for the sake of Rs.26/- on single pack, but could not succeed and the system generated the message in red as per screenshot added on the left side.
Once again I am convinced that Britannia Industries is a Cheat Company befooling the gullible customers after establishing the Brand Name - Britannia and now they are earning from their brand value and not customer friendly policies. I can not even return the opened Britannia Bourbon biscuits. What a Diwali Gift from Britannia Industries in connivance with PayTm.
